How do i remove standard head unit on my k11?

first unscrew the fascia on the dash, theres 2 screws up top and 2 behind the ashtray.

carefully pop it of so you dont break any clips

the factory head unit is secured down with 4 screws. simply unscrew these and it should pull out easy,
remember to pull the plug out the back of it too.

ok then if thats how you take them out then how do you fit in the cages for the new stereos because there is only two fixing points each side of the ole radio and most of the new cages just slide in.
can you get a conversion kit for fitting them in??

I just slid the cage in via the front and then the head unit. Have managed to screw it down using the old mounting holes where the old head unit was.

The brackets that came off the old head unit, I just screwed in to the side of the new head unit.

Or slide the cage into the front dash faceplate....

problem solved.
