» CMF MemberJust replaced LWCs hatch struts for the second time in 12 years!
AutoBarn had stock Monroe units off the shelf for $48 each. The old ones come off by levering up the metal clip with a screw driver enough to slip them off. Just prop up the hatch with a helper!!
The new ones just pop on with a bump from the back of your hand. Just take an old one up to the counter and get a new one that is the same length and 300N force. Don't get anything higher like 500N or you will probably bend the door trying to close it! And replace both at the same time to avoid twisting the hatch.
Easy-peasy!
