Yup as above the key snapped in the lock. Not enough sticking out to pull with needle nos tweezers. Any ideas folks?

cheers frank - looks like a job for the morning. Is it a trick job dismantling?

you have to flick the plastic clip off the end of the rod then slide the big clip off the back of the barrel eh
on some cars you can remove the arm and poke the broken bit out, but iirc you have to unpick around the the edge of the outer cover (where you insert the key) and then the whole middle and tumblers can be drawn out (and when you remove the keybit all the tumblers and springs shoot out

Fixed!
Pehaps should have done a tutorial on this but never mind.
Once you get the barrel out ( see the haynes manual which explains it better the I could).
A circli holds the cam on, pop that off and then remove the spring (make a note of how it goes!).

You can then see the snapped key and you can push it with a hair grip or something like that.
BUT it will not move because (well on mine) the tumblers lock it in place.
I had to put the main part of the key in the mechanisim and push it all back out as a unit, took a few goes but got there in the end.
All happy because I didnt have to pay a locksmith or replace the barrel.(Y)
