good primer

ok i'm looking for a good primer to prep my ss body kit, being knew to this i'm not sure what to look for or wether it really matters, i'm guessing i'll need a plastic primer as its fiberglass and iirc the properties of fiberglass change in different heat conditions?

if you,re using a gun, you wont beat 2 pack primer + winter hardener
fibreglass is ok if its not highbaked but normal lowbake is ok

But you shouldn't need the winter hardener if the spraying is done in a heated spraybooth.

yes i'm using a gun, any particular brand of primer? it will be sprayed in my garage witch will be heated during spraying but not over night.

you get what you pay for with paint, top brands are £100/5ltr
dont forget the mask tho, the hardener has got isocyanate in it !

20yrs of breathing that cr##, and filler dust, overspray and the clincher was the galvanised panels (white whispy fumes and birds### welds), time for a career change i thought :laugh:
