Sad to say I'm going to have to sell the micra. Second gearbox diff didnt work. New exhaust needed. Cross member rusting. Cv boots screwed. All this is going to cost me more than the car is worth really as well as not being able to afford it. So she's going up for sale as spares. I will have a few bits for sale and will let you know. Such as

Almera airbox with K&N panel filter.
K&N 57i induction kit.

Will let you know on the rest.

is that all boxes or just pre face 1.0 it happens on ?

thats why they say to shove a stick or roll of cardboard into the diff sockets eh :doh: the planet gears are only held by a concave washer, and if turned the gears drop out !

all i guess zed as long as you dont turn the shafts i think you,re ok (but always best to roll some cardboard up and shove them in to be safe eh

i used socks on mine frank! stopped it from getting crud in too

screw driver and wiggle it round untill the sections are visible to take the drive shafts!

if you dont want the car how much are you after?

split the casings and shuffle the gear and its thrust washer back into position i guess (dont pull at the clusters tho phil, leave them assembled, else some little pawls fly out iirc )

its just a plain washer phil, heavily dished, you might be able to guide it back into position with a spike, but the planet gear may have slipped out too

It should have been fine mate I wouldn't sell you any dodgy bits, must have fell out or something when it was in transit

strange one :grinning: none have done this to me , had 3 in transit as well
