Gearbox or clutch?

Hey,
I have the following problem since today.
When I am driving and hit the 2000rpm I get a scraping noise from the engine bay it sounds like something is scraping on a thin metalplate or something.
when I press the clutch the sound is still ther until I release the clutch.
When I hit the 2000rpm again, the sound starts to appear again.
It seems like it is exactly at 2000rpm.
When I brake it does not stop until I press the clutch and release it!

Any idea what it could be?

Sounds like a thrust bearing?
But that would do that at tick-over too?

90% I found the error together with my neighbour who is a mechanic.... it seems that my front engine mount is really lose! I will tighten the screws tomorrow and see if that helps.
He has 30years expierence and says the clutch or the gearbox will sound different when broken.
