Does anyone know what size die I need to redo the gearstick thread so I can cut it abit to make it shorter?

cut it in the middle, remove required amount, sleeve and weld it up

most aftermarket knobs attatch with grub screws, so cut it where you want and attatch new knob. job done

drilled the thread out mine, and 2pack glued it on !
