Has anyone ever replaced the gear stick in a 160SR K12? Mine, I can't tell if the leather can be recolourd or if it requires replacing. If it can be recoloured, is this a DIY job or a specialist job? I've had 2 buisnesses say it sounds like replacement (without ever seeing it), which, given the fact it's fixed to the stick, as is the garter cover, I'd rather repair if possible (im no mechanic or never done anything under the bonnet, as I've always had new cars with free services, the K12 is a 2nd car for shows/meets). Just thought I'd ask for thoughts on here. I'll do a pic of it tomorrow so it can be seen. The steering wheel has gone shiny a bit, but I can live with that, though would be nice to fix the too.
