gear knob gaitor

Hello! Recently recieved a gearknob and gaitor from Davey C and fitted them today.Gear knob went on fine but having trouble with the gaitor.

The plastic base trim doesnt fit around the metal base plate.Heres some pics to help:

Apprently i need a new metal base thing? Can anyone help me out?

Yer.. I get the problem now..

Basically youve got a higher spec trim... that your tryign to stick into a lower spec trim.. if that makes sense..

what you need, is the trim that the gater actually sits into.. This piece screws into the floor.. then YOUR trim clips onto that.. You might need the metal bracket too..

got one from scrap yard today,4 quid for the trim and the metal bracket!
