Gear Box Cloncking..

Hi Guys,

When I have my car off and I wiggle the gear lever from side to side it makes quite a loud metel clonking noise, it also doesnt return to the middle?

Any Ideas? I think the Returning to the middle is just the spring i just am unsure about the cloncking.

Help is appreciated.

hmm, where can i get a new spring from then?

old mattress/sofa,,,,,or wherever you can. has to have a decent pull on it though
or it may be their hanging on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,re-shape re-hook

ohh cool, when did you send it? havent seen anything as yet cheers how do i access it to change it?

Get under the car snap all the bolts holding the heatshield to the car, then pull it out the way..

Will i not be able to undo them then? and how long do you think it will take to fit it?

I received the Spring yesterday so ill have a look on friday, thanks for all your help
