Hey guys and girls do I need an exhaust gasket if I'm going from stock exhaust manifold to hurricane headers

» CMF MemberYeah if your standard one is no goood then you will need a new one. But i just used my old one as it was still ok. Just used some goo aswell to be sure.
You should be able to buy one or take your stock one to a exhaust shop and they can cut a new one out for you.

Try Bursons/Repco or similar and also Liverpool exhaust
I think I paid $30 from memory for a two piece gasket and about the same for a one piece from Liverpool

Just wondering if any else had to cut there new hurricanes between the ports to fit them to the head, is this the normal thing to do, it was the only way i could fit them and they seal fine.

» CMF Memberthe headers finish i think at 1 3/4 inch, then i had to make a short piece to go from there to the cat incorperating the bends around swaybar and a flexi joint in 2 inch. the rest of the exhaust was replaced by previous owner in inch and 3/4. next time i would buy this centre piece if i could
