guys need some help....
Tomei come witha grommet 0.7mm gasket
Nismo comes with a 0.5mm and 0.6mm gasket..

Which is the best deal for street drivability? if i were to get 0.5mm would the compression be too high.. would hte petrol octance level be raise? will there be any knockking when using lower octance fule

Depends on what you have done to the bottom end. If you have upgraded the internals raise the compression ratio. If not you will end up most likely with pre detonation and a big repair bill. Also go for highest octane rated petrol.
Personally if the internals were stock I would stay with standard gasket and compression ratio.

Not really Dave,

When Mighty underwent his turbo conversion the effective compression ratio was raised to 14.5(ish):1 so you should be able use the 0.6mm gasket on a stock bottom end and head. However don't expect reliability or longevity unless you really baby the thing..

the standard cga3de alpha engine has about 10.0:1 compression which is what the 0.7mm gasket takes the 9.5 engine too. thats on standard internals and is made by nissan to last 100,000's of miles. the engines can take high rpm and compression. but at some point in terms of raising the compression you need machined cut pistons which have the valve recess so they dont hit the valves. 0.7mm is the safe and durable option. 0.5mm just to see what you can get away with lol..
