Am currently re-building a ga16 engine with plans to put it in my k11, I have a 1.3 gearbox, and have had the 1.3 flywheel machined out, however i have noticed that the throw on the starter motor is too short, the engine was mounted to an auto box initially.
Ive tried the old micra starter and the hole placements are different, and even if they worked with the engine the top part of the starter clashes on the block.
Before I get even more frustrated, whats the best solution, will a ga16 manual starter work (I.E are the flywheels similar enough that it will "catch" the teeth on the 1.3 flywheel) or am I better off getting hold of a ga flywheel (will they fit?)
