Fuel Gauge??

:glance: Hi, yes me again lol
advice needed pls, this evening my hubby drained the petrol tank, and the fuel gauge went straight up to the full mark?? when it had fuel in it it only showed a quarter of a tank of fuel?
any1 had this problem?? it's like the gauge is working in reverse!!

Did he knock the sensor? He may have confused it..... unless the gauge spun round 360 degrees lol.

Also check if the wires are connected cos if they aren't the gauge will read full

petrol gauge problems

after driving in the frost & snow all weekend my petrol gauge seems to have gone a bit mad- petrol light is on warning of low fuel & gauge not moving put in £10 today & this has not changed it- the light will always go out & go up to quarter mark so any advice will be much appreciated.
