Next job was to stiffen the front springs and lower the front. I did this by cutting the front springs. The result was 50mm lower and 25% harder. Here's the bits I cut off the top.
The top spring platform isn't too comfortable going back on at a funny angle but when it's reinstalled in the car it straightens up some. One additional benefit was the opportunity to re lube the steering bearing and put it back with less load on it giving marginally less steering friction.
While I was at it I added some more negative camber. I did this by enlarging the holes where the damper meets the hub with a 12mm drill. This is a good cheap mod and gave 0.5deg neg camber. Remember to take it to wheel alignment after as it also adds some toe in.
