Front Panel Welding/Replacing - Help!

I know some of you guys have changed the front slam/crossmember panel.
How easy would this be to do for someone half witted like me?

Severe Rust problem and complete front panel on eBay from £50+ seems like a good idea as i plan on keeping the car for a long period of time...

Any help would be appreciated as the search function isn't my best friend if i can remember someone did a guide but i can't find that either!

yeah i know the crossmember isn't all that expensive... ah we shall see what happens...
