Faded Red Ted

So my old Ted came in red. Faded red. It's not too bad but obviously I'd like to bring it back to somthing a bit brighter. It looks red when it's all polished and nice but pink when it's not. I know some paints you can cut the hazing from either the clearcoat or the paint itself depending on how it's been done. Does anyone know it's possible with the paint they used on the Micras and possibly any recommended products?

I tried Meguiars Ultimate Compound and it made it a bit better, but nothing massive. I also have a random orbital polisher now (Which I didn't have when I first tried the Meguiars) so maybe I should give it another go with that?

Red colours generally turn pink-white from the sun, i use Farecla or 3M products, i wash my car and take it to me mate who is a body work specialist and get him to high speed buff the the paint work and comes up proper nice!! after thats done i then use autoglym resin polish which is watery transparent liquid 5hite that gives a barrier coating and every other week i polish this stuff on!! but due to age the paint will fade back to pink-white if you dont keep up with it, otherwise a full re-spray with water based colours would keep your car looking new all the time without the worries of all the paint condition products etc....

Great info on the paint rejevenation SuLuR! i actually may try that when i have alot of spare time!!

This seems really good if I could actually make it work. I'd be scared of damaging the paintwork by sanding too hard. I'll try it on a small corner and see what happens I think.
