Exhaust tip recomendations

Hello to all

Am thinking to install an exhaust tip.
My final cat back is the original from the factory . (17 years old)
Do you suggest to put only the exhaust tip or to change also and the final cat back ?
Is it better for the car to put new one final cat back or with out rust or leaks works the same as the new one??

Its always best to replace cat back, but if its in good nick I'd just change the rear silencer. Only you know really.

The exhaust on my white micra is the original *almost 21 years old* still works fine, lil bit of rust, but as @Agent_Sm1th said, only you know how bad it really is

Wow 21 years eh! Beat me there, mines original but only 15yrs old.

The one on my orange one was Original too, till I cut the back box off for a aftermarket one which had a rather dramatic end with a kerb and bent the centre section..
