Exhaust time for MOT

Exhaust back box has started blowing and whilst I was looking at it I discovered that the heat shield on the cat has rotted off. I wondered if this was an MOT failure, and whether I should be looking to replace the complete exhaust?
Its a 2000 K11 1.0, and just wondered if anybody new where I could get a decent price for a complete system?

Hi standerd back box isn't exspensive to replace any exhaust place will do it saves messing with rusty pipes and bolts.

its not an MOT failure. My Exhaust Shield just fell off due to rusted screws holding it.
