Just took the car for a quick drive up to reading and back and hit a fairly large pot hole.
Basically the exhaust pipe has cracked where it joins the rear silencer. So I was wondering if anyone could let me know if all I need to do is re-weld it, or maybe if something like the halfords exhaust repair kit would do:

If not, anyone know how much a new exhaust is likely to set me back? And does it come in sections, i.e. rear silencer to intermediate silencer, or do I need a whole system?
