Error code P0011 and bad fuel economy

Hi everyone!
I hope someone will be able to help me with the problem I have.
My K12 1.2 04 auto is showing a P0011 error code, the problem is that the chain is not rattling or there is no problem with idle, power, no engine light on the dash, no symptoms at all except the code. Now I researched the forum and the google and I know its a common problem with the timing chain or the camshaft position sensor. But because at the moment there is completely no symptoms I think I will just leave it as it is for time being as I can't afford to spend a few hundreds of pounds to have it replaced. The only thing that bothers me is high fuel consumption... which is 9l/100km - 26mpg. And it comes from the practical test repeated several times. Can that be due to the chain/sensor problem?

Thank you.

Remove the rocker cover and measure petrusion of the hydraulic tensioner, 10-12 mm or over and if say chain has stretched. The mpg could be to fuel trim as its rough running.

Hello sir have you fixed your micra I am having the same problem 10l 100km...... How did you fix it

Sent from my Redmi 4X using Micra Sports Club mobile app

I had this problem.
After many trips to the garage and the same error code from the car,
it turned out to be that there was a lot of oil in the throttle body and on the Map sensor.
I cleaned this all out and I went from 20mpg back to 50mpg.
Took 10mins.
I stil have no idea why there was oil there!
Hope that help.

Oil in the TB/manifold condenses from the crankcase breather fumes return system for combustion with the cool inlet air/fuel mix.

Excess inlet condense oil often due to malfunctioning crankcase breather valve and its oil fumes filter & can create excessive oil consumption?

Could excess oil in the inlet be due to to much oil being put in the engine?
About a week before I had an oil change done by a large chain garage (never again) who put far to much oil in and I ended buying some tube from b and q and sucking it out. Not advised.
I have luckily not had the problem since [6 months]. Just a thought.

What evidence do have for your above risible conclusion?

When I checked the oil level with the dip stick and it was conserningly high and I had to remove a fair amount before the oil level was where it should be.

National free fit workshops use semi auto Oil change suction pump systems to quickly evacuate the sump oil via the dip tube & if asked, could have adjusted your levels in minuets with no oily mess.

What measurement above normal oil level did you find approx.?
