Engine Oil: 0W40

Now I realize Haynes suggests 15W40, and most here use 10W40 from searching...

but I have quite a good history with mobil1 (0W40) - too thin at startup?

Am I better picking up some hellfrauds 10W40 fully-synth?

Never tried it on the Micra. I use 5w30 Magnatec with Slick 50 added as well. Runs really smooth and quiet.

Nothing wrong with 0W40
40 is what the engine will run on at operating temp
0 is what will lubricate the engine until its up to that temperature

I run a mix of 2 oils personally. I forget which but something along the lines of 10w50 mobil1 motorsport oil and 5w30 castrol magnetec
