Hi,
So I was driving 100 miles from the coast yesterday and noticed my Engine Management light (Orange) came on. It's not flashing or anything, just constantly on. The car does not seem to have any faults. No weird noises, no weird smells, no fumes, no smoke etc, running seems fine, quiet and smooth
I did notice that the fuel gauge was a bit "up-and-down" with it's readings on the motorway, but unsure if this is a related issue or just me being paranoid
I read somewhere that connecting terminals 6 and 7 together for 2 seconds in the fuse box will make the light flash and give fault codes - is this true?
Any ideas what the fault is likely to be and is there a way I can do this myself - I am not a mechanic but I am reluctant to pay someone to do the work since the car was only a few hundred quid to start with
The car is a K11C 2001 Y-Reg, done 78,000 miles, been looked after i it's time by an old lady and in good condition generally
Thanks !
