Long story short,engine light came on,checked car over and post cat lambda was split in 2. Bought 2nd hand downpipe with lambda cheap,went to fit,bolts into cat were shot,had to replace that too. Not a fun job,alternator needed removing,manifold and all the rusty bolts and brackets,a days work later and new cat and downpipe with lambda fitted. Start engine,management light still on very grrrrr. Few days later reset the time on the clock with the tacho,bingo it also reset the engine fault code! Word of advice,if your cat heat shield is missing,get it covered,those bolts are evil when they rust out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Engine light switch off solved for free!!!!!
