Ecu swapping

hi, i had a dead ecu and i am swapping it with a used ecu..however i dont have any information with my own VIN. Tried googling it and some say it needs reprogram..how do u reprogram it if its vin specific? Or anyone tried swapping ecu? Any experience? I just want it to work like normal again..

Will need to be programmed by a specialist with a Nissan consult system as it contains all the immobiliser info. Your used one will conflict with the nats built into your car from your old ecu.

But i dont have immobiliser..do i still need to reprogram it? I presume i dont have an immobiliser since there was no sensor on the key when i got it duplicated with an ordinary key..am i correct?
