dim dip removal

So you just want to drive around blinding people with your full beam? I also think it would be illegal as your car requires, side lights, dim dip, main beam for MOT purposes.

Why would you want to do this anyway?

I think he's referring to the circuit that makes the main lights come on with the sidelights but very dimly, I don't think not having this is illegal as the Almera doesn't have dim/dip.

A dim-dip device operates the low beam headlamps (called "dipped beam" in the UK) at between 10% and 20% of normal low-beam intensity.

I find this part amusing:
In 1988, the European Commission successfully prosecuted the UK government in the European Court of Justice, arguing that the UK requirement for dim-dip was illegal under EC directives prohibiting member states from enacting vehicle lighting requirements not contained in pan-European EC directives. As a result, the UK requirement for dim-dip was quashed. Nevertheless, dim-dip was (and is) still permitted, and while such systems are not presently as common as they once were, dim-dip functionality was fitted on many new cars well into the 1990s.

Didnt know the k11's did this. My K11 only has the three settings, sidelights, dipped and then the main beam!

Yeah, it seems to only apply to come with the pre facelifts. The dim-dip operates automatically with the sidelights
