de-catting first cat

as above, wanting to rid of my manifold cat.

where do i start?

iam more worried about snapping the bolts ontop of the manifold than anything.

do i have to remove my down pipe aswell? can i not just knock the cat in whilests its on the downpipe?

Before you take any nuts off, soak them in WD40. Or they will snap

I would try to use an impact gun if possible, might be worth taking the mani/cat to a garage to get them to do it. they do snap pretty easy.

easiest way of doing it on the car would be to leave the cat on the manifold, remove the front pipe and work from below.

not sure how succesfull you will be but you would be better removing the cat and down pipe,

i have a knocked out cat if you wanted to just swap it over?

snapped a bolt on my cat and it's fine. there are plenty on the that nasty ass design! grr

x2..those bolts are not much fun,especially the upside down one.
