coolant overflow bottle

can i move the location of the bottle (from behind passanger light) and still have it function correctly? i.e does it need to be at a certain level or height?

haynes led me to belive that auto micras have there bottle behind the drivers light, but the one at the wreakers dissagrees...

Mine is also behind the passenger light. From my understanding of the way it works, it shouldn't matter where you put it in the car. The pressure/suction created in the main radiator by the expansion and contraction of the coolant as it is heated or cooled should be more than sufficient to push/suck the fluid to anywhere on the car at any height on the car.

we have a custom alloy overflow bottle for sale and it does not matter where you put it as far as i know. Try get it at the same height though
