converting points to electronic ignition?

I have a k10 micra that has a broken distrubuter with points in it, i have bought a electric dissy off ebay which has to wires on it, one blue and one red but has no instructions as to how to wire it up??? Anyone know?

You're gonna need the coil and module off an electronic distributor Micra too,

BiAS, could you PM me with diagram too? my dizzy is trying to make me angry and i have another micra with electronic dizzy.. planning to swap them..thxnevermind...


just found out in Haynes manual.. there are two types of electronic ignition..

first type has only one change - there are no contact points, instead the IC ignition unit inside the dizzy is used. wiring should be really simple, because vacuum advance still looks like vacuum advance..

second type has more major changes, dizzy has no vacuum advance (ECC is used for altering timing), there is modified coil and also power transistor controlling it.. everything is controlled by ECC box under passenger's seat, with help of crank angle sensor, boost sensor, emission gases sensor and so on.. wiring this type without ECC is not possible.. i think..
