clutch change

i have got to change a clutch on 1.0 micra. i know all the parts i have got to take off, but which is the best way to remove the gearbox. remove it from under the car, or out through the engine bay!

both ways... remove the srews from the top and then from underneath and take it of from underneath...

Lower it out the bottom!

was it suggested to loosen a engine mount or two? to aid the underneath removal?

the best way is to remove both gearboxs mounts and front stabiliser rod altogether,but leave the drivers side top mount attached,then lower the engine down..dont forget to remove both drive shafts 1st
