Micra 110

Had a New Clutch fitted about 6 months ago along with a new Clutch Cable. The Clutch itself works ok and should be worn in by now.
The Cable is routed correctly in it's Hangers but the Cable makes a creaking noise when the Clutch peddle is used. I've put some oil on the Cable to try to alleviate the noise but it wont go away.
It's supposed to be a smooth operation when depressing the Clutch peddle but it's quite stiff, basically I'm putting all my weight behind it and yet one of the other Micras the Clutch peddle is really easy to push down on.
I thought it might be the Bushes on the Peddle Cluster but everything looks ok.
Any suggestions to save me having to put on more weight to make things easier?.
