changing the original nissan radio

so please tell me, how do you tell what the wires are? there are so many of them, there seems to be two earth and two live but not sure, has anyone took the original radio out to put a cd in? mines a 2000 micra

one permanent live
one ignition live
illumination live---comes on with side lights

speaker wires

earth it to the metal in the dash area

dont know on facelift but wiring up seperate wires for all the sterio system may work out better

Mines is the same year as yours ,

aerial is the ground, found that out when it sparked when i forgot to plug it in :L, And chances are you will need an adapter to fit , i bought this one from Halfords .... http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_869353_langId_-1_categoryId_165474
