Change dashboard difficult?

I got a 2001 1.0Vibe,
wanting to change the dash to the one from a 1.3 with a revcount on.

This is my first car and I had no experence on doing such a thing;
I will get a Haynes and would imagine this wont be a very difficult job.

The most difficult part I can think of now is how to set the mailage to what I am currently on; as the later model has digital display.

So guys, do you think this is a difficult job for a newbie, or should I pay to get it done in a garage?

no need to swap the entire dashboard, just the instrument cluster. the mechanical type odometer/spedometer clusters can be swapped over by unscrewing the pair of nuts & screws at the back near the spedo cable bit.
dunno if this swapping applies to the digital odometer types.
