central locking

Hi, Im having the same problem...can anyone help me? When i hit the lock on the remote it locks then pops back up again..I have fitted a new driver motor in the passenger door but its still the same. Its the factory one thats fitted to mine too

i have so many problems with my nats central locking that im going to remove the lot and fit a cheap universal kit when i get time!

one of the central door locking motors is goosed,

easy way to tell which one is to

ear on drivers door at same time lock the car and listen see if it makes a funny noise something like a errr when it locks

do the same on all 4 or 2 doors, the one that makes a noise you can replace or just disconnect it and all 1 or 3 doors will lock

I've heard that if the fob battery is low the car will automaticly unlock!! To stop u gettin locked out obv!

:| mines (luckily) locks the car as soon as i unlock it, i have to time it right so i can pull the door handle to open it afore it locks again lol

it could also be dirty contacts to the motor or locking switch inside the car.

I had that problem in my super s. it seemed to be my car battery. because i changed it to a different one and the locks were acting up for a couple of weeks, then i went back to my old battery and they were fine again.

the problem i have is that the "passanger door will lock both doors"!!! but when i try locking from drivers door, that locks, but passanger doesnt??

which motor would it be thats gone because i think its the passanger door but can anyone tell me wrong?

i took the main central lockign box out from behind pedals and had a look....but i didnt actually know what i was looking for lol

i had my haynes manual with me but that just got me confused alittle...is it said follow pink wire...so i did but lost it???

ear on the outside of the door, if you have a remote for the central locking use that instead of the key in the lock

i tried the battery, its fine, mine only happens in the mornings when its real cold, so im thinking its possibly damp??? plus when im inside the car if i try to unlock the door manually it does nothing, i can move the button on the door but it does nothing :| help anyone?

Hello, K12 2003 , got this strange central lock problem, both keys have same prob, usually press once for driver door open, press again for passenger door open then third press supposed to be the boot , but quite often the driver door opens but the other 2 dont , can hear a little click in the car when key pressed but passenger and boot dont always open .
Any ideas for this problem anyone and what a bad idea for opening this 3 press game :laugh:

Hi, I recently bought a micra, 55 plate 1.5dci sport, but the remote locking isnt working... tried to re-sync the key as described in another topic and the manual, but cant get past the 3rd step... (see below) the warning lights just wouldn't flash... i tried replacing the battery in the key fob and tried again, but still no further... im now wondering whether to replace the key or its something more serious ?? the car will lock on the button inside, and the key will still open (with the emergency lock on the passenger side) and start the car :S anyone else had the problem ??

1. turn the ignition switch from OFF (position 0) to ON 6 times in 10 seconds
2. turn the igintion off and leave the key in the ignition
3. after 2 seconds, the system will enter programming mode and will flash the warning lights twice
4. press and hold the unlock button on the key
5. while holding unlock button, press lock button 3 times
6. release unlock button
7. the warning lights will then flash once to indicate successful programming
8 remove key and check for operation
