Cat?

My first cat is blocked and I was just wondering seeing as I gotta get new one anyway, if I hollow this one out would it still have a chance of passing mot?

All depends on emissions matey.

Without the cat internals ill be suprised if it goes through, the CO max for a MOT is 0.3%, ive seen readings of over 4-5 % without cat fitted.

Best bet is find a place that gives a free retest and try it, if it does fail you know you need to put cat on and havent lost out.

Depends who you get to MOT yours. I've never had a cat on any of my previous cars and mine's always passed

Does depend a lot on the year of the car, L reg car has more chance of passing as the newer the car gets the more stricter the emissions test is.
