Car suddenly wouldn't start

My recently acquired Micra suddenly stopped working just before Christmas. I checked the usual things - had sparks and fuel circulating so wasn't the pump - and found nothing wrong with it. Pouring fuel down the air intake got it to burst into life briefly but eventually me and a mate towed it over to my MOT garage.

The diagnostic read out indicated no faults (even though the car didn't start). The fusebox is in good condition (especially for a 14 year old car) without any corrosion.

To cut a long story short it was the 10A fuel injector fuse. It looked okay but wasn't transmitting current. The theory is that it's been on there from new and was just old.

Hope this helps someone else with same prob. It might save some time.:grinning:

Corroded fuses in the engine bay can be a problem, and difficult to spot.
(This is in the wrong section btw, you can move it by going to thread tools.)
