Car Radiator water low

Hi everyone I own a mk1 Micra 18 k on clock I feel as tho my Micra drinks a lot of water but runs smooth I put in 20 pounds of fuel and do average 130 miles but my water seems to go down is this normal. Or do I take out the temp stat wash the engine out and radiator and top up with all year round anti freeze. No leaks have to been found
