car just died....

just accelerating car lost power and wouldn't re-start(turns over n stuff but no go). I don't hear the fuel pump as normal, so I think its that, no blown fuses, ignition seems ok, I will change the ecu, since i have a spare. I have a gtir fuel pump home it will fit...will check on the old ev fuel tank to see what has to be done..... any more ideas b4 I begin surgery

will do.... the car is at my mates now, he has no mechanical knowledge and thinks cars work by magic... so I'll try that in the morning the fuel think in the am....ta, so I might be on the right track.

how's that gasket holding up fred? did you check your water/oil levels?

every day..seems ok..... this problem,was a like a cut out... like something cut the fuel or ignition....
