Cam Chain Noisy ?!

Hi,

I have just bought a 98 micra shape and the engine is really rattly, more so on first startup, could somebody tell me if you can adjust the cam chain tensioner please or do I have to put a new chain and tensioner in it. I am presuming this is the cam chain making the noise...

the tensioner is hydraulic acestu, you,re best to remove the cam cover and inspect/assess it first

They're relatively noisey on those engines, more than most engines.

Just to note, wrong setion, it is a K11 not a K10.
