I'm looking for a K11 Micra. I've already found the what to look for stuff, rusty sub frames and all that jazz. But there's not a whole lot of advice I can find on the different engines.
Clearly the 1.0 accounts for the majority so is the easiest find. The 1.3 seems pretty rare, but there's a couple of 1.4s kicking about it seems.
Now nippy is always nice, but one of the things that I like about the Micra is its simplicity. And I envision the bigger engines as having more to go wrong, especially on the 1.4, as it was only introduced on the newer models.
So aside from performance are there any advantages to the different engines? And any particular models to look out for? Ideally I'm looking at 1998-2000 models, and would like to spend no more than £600 if I can get away with it, but can accept that I might have to pay more for a rust free example, which is my main concern - everything else seems a doddle to fix!
