Burning Smell

Hi,
1.0l gx started this problem today , only when i put on hot air a burning smell comes through car, i smelt radiator and it smelt like it was burning too, opened radiator cap and fluid was there, then fan hasnt come on since the smell and temp is just below middle on gauge, could it be thermostat no working? fan motor gone? heater card?

i dont have A/C
any ideas be great

Maybe some wire is melting and when u are turning on the hot air it is bringing the burning/melting smell into the cock pit

Look at heater pipes were they go in2 bulk head or drain the old water out and put in fresh + coolant + antifreeze

Sounds like its getting a tad too warm. Could be lack of coolant or and air lock... I'm going to vote ab air lock.
Try bleeding the radiator while pumping the pipes, to the heater matrix, by hand
