Bumpers and black trim restoring

I have a 95 lx micra which has black bumpers and black trim down the sides the front bumper and the back one look like different material and have bumps scratches and a are not consistent in colour. Is there a cheap way to repair these plastic bumpers to look like new again.i will get pictures in the next few days of what they look like.

forever black works a treat just clean it down with wax & grease remover first to get rid of anything that might stop it applying evenly

that might work on the back bnumper but the front bumper seems like different material almost like its been sprayed i was thinking of patching the dings and scratches up and then spraying plastdip on them but seems a little expensive for me and im not sure how long that will last. so what i really want is the mirrors back and front bumper and side trims all one shade of black.

you can do them with spray cans, you just have to rub back and degrease the plastic then use a plastic primer before you put colour on, normal primer will crack and flake. motospray do a 'bumper black' which is a flat/satin black depending how you spray it... its also pretty thick paint so it covers minor cracks and scratches quite well.

I found this video on youtube might give this a go if i find cheap enough cans i wanna try keep it under $100 how many cans would i need anyone have any ideas.so far supercheap are 311g cans for $16 primers and black paint

3-4 cans of paint per bumper, better to have too many than not enough & 3 cans of plastic primer. probably use 1 can of primer to 3 cans of paint on bumpers.

super cheap would be your best option if your painting the lot you could get away with just a satin black Aussie export paint

last time i painted a bumper i was using power plus which is around $20 a can and cost me near $150 to do 1 bumper.

another option is to use a mini sprayer and buy 1L can of arcylic which would cost just under $100 also need thinner

this way will use a lot less paint but give a much better finish than standard spray cans

remove bumpers, wash with strong soapy water and scourer, dry, clean with wax and grease remover, sand any scratches out, if you need to bog up any deep scratches with plastic filler then patch prime only the repair, normal high build primer would be ok for small repairs, if no repairs just paint with bumper black, its designed to be used on unprimed plastic

you dont need to put it on thick, just enough that it looks black, 2 cans of "Dupli-Color bumper coating" would do 2 bumpers 4 mudflaps and 4sidestrips

I done my lx front bumper the other week and took my superS bumper off to be painted red, it looks good, I still have over half a 311g can left
