Broken wires to my heated rear window

Hi my heated rear window is not working on inspection i noticed the wires in the rubber pipe between the tail gate and the back of the car are broken. Is this a commen fault with k11 micra and is it a easy job thanks in advance.

the rear boots been replaced before when my sister had a rear shunt but dunno if the wire was cut accidentally from the mechanic who replaced the boot door or wether the wires snapped from fatigue.
I soldered em back together and it worked.
