brake upgrade any ideas?

hi
i need to sort the brakes on my k11 and i dont think new pads will cut it
basically my plan is to transplant new larger callipers from another nissan model from scrapyard
will this plan work?
does anyone know which models will do a straight swap over to give better braking times?
will bigger callipers just make my wheels lockup every time i touch them?

i have no experience in this area so all help is greatly appreciated

go with sunny brakes from a 91-94 model 1.4 or 1.6, these will fit on with the use of a few washers.

they are bigger calipers and the discs are vented, then stick some green stuff pads in.

I'm using 1.6 sunny brakes and I'm pretty sure my car would be dead if not for them, really good brakes!!!
Worth while for piece of mind stopping power

is there any difference between 1.4 and 1.6 brakes?

also you could use the brakes off a pulsar/sunny gti r but they are a bit over kill if your not running high power.

also considered changing to grooved/drilled discs and better pads?
