Brake question

I am looking to buy some front pads and discs. My car is an '89 and I'm told the pre '88 discs are different. Is this right?

I haven't heard of them being a different size, and i've been on here a good few years now! Might be wrong though..

I've got some March vented calipers somewhere if you want to go down the vented disk route?

At the moment I just want the car to stop lol. I need new pads and disks. Does anyone know a website I can buy these from for a reasonable price?
Out of interest how much for the calipers and how much of a difference do they make?

i'd say there was an improvement. I had decent pads and brembo disks though! i'd want 30 for the calipers, if i can find them! otherwise, try brakeparts.co.uk or something like that & ebay for standard replacements
