Boot Struts

Ever since I have had my Micra, the boot hasn't been able to stay open due to one or both of the struts. How do I find out if its one or both that are broken? I know I will have to buy new ones, but I don't want to be paying over £20 for two.

take them off try to compress them if one is weaker than the other replace that one if both are the same and carnt hold the boot open replace them.

Scrapyards would be good to get some from cost me a fiver for two

Yeah, will give them a go and see how they are. Will have a look around scrapyards before splashing £20 on them.

Would Vauxhall Corsa struts fit? I can get them cheap.

They might do, but they also might be too short or long.

Have you checked your local scrapyard? Maybe check a breaking thread on here

Havent checked any scrapyards yet, just looking through ebay and other online sources first.
