Boot lock voltage

Hi,

My boot lock has been blocked for a while now. I pierced one of the yellow cables leading into the lock with a voltmetre but I only get around 2V on the reading.

Can anyone confirm I should be seeing 12V? The cable probably got messed up in some parts, probably near the latch. I want to bypass it so I can open the boot, but don't want to input the wrong voltage and set anything on fire.

I fixed my boot, had to use 12v indeed on the pins at the bottom of the hatch.

Turns out one of the power cables ruptured in the rubber sleeve near the hatch hinges.
