the 309 GTI was voted (by independant motoring journalists) the best hot hatch of the last 25 years.
better handling than the 205 GTI, with more powerful engine (by 15bhp) and a larger boot/cabin area...
that car had the same power to weight ratio as the Escort RS turbo.... and you say it wasnt fast????
did you have the late 1992 model with 105bhp? or the 1991 model i had with 130bhp? cos let me tell you, a car that weighs just 800kg's with 130bhp isnt slow!!
i think i may regret not looking for a miami blue 3 Door 309 GTI.... especialy since there are more chav Saxo VTS's that i want to embarace again..haha....
and if i can find one like my last one, with full Magnex system (including a stainless 4 branch manifold...mmm) for £700, i will be very very happy...
