annoying msytery beeping!!??!!

Two weeks ago my car was broken into, passenger window smashed and the fuse for the electric windows and central locking blew, which i havent replaced yet, since then my car randomly and occasionally, but getting more frequent makes a screeching beeping sound when im driving along, has anyone encountered this before, is it a warning sound or does anyone know what this is and how it can be rectified?

yeh its a 1.3 s.i, its got aftermarket alarm on it, microscan i think,
