finally bought some...5 with tyres for £150 with postage....i was looking for the tyres 195/50/15 but the alloys ive bought have 195/55/15...will they rub...standard but im looking at lowering by 35mm??

What state are the tyres in?

they will most likely rub, your better off with 195/45/15 tbh as these stick closer to the micra standard rolling radius.

if your tyres are in good condition then you maybe able to sell them to recoup money after proper size tyres

your choices are
1. fit them and keep checking/listening for scrubbing
2. Spend £200 on new tyres
3. Go and fit part worns for £40-50 and be sure to check them for damage prior to fitting.

so can i not fit my alloys until i have the tyres then?? would it put the speedo out?

would it be ok on standard height but definately rub lowered 35 mm because i could wait to fit my springs

based on the k11 165/60/14 alloy and tyre size a 195/55/15 alloys will throw your speedo out by 7.6%. When doing a indicated 60mph you will actually be doing 64.5mph.

As for rubbing, it will most likely rub on the rears tyres on the rear of the arches and on full lock on the front arches.

i would strongly recommend fitting tyres onto the alloys before fitting yes!
